Hi :-)

I hope you had a great weekend!  We spent most of it landscaping our yard.  It is looking GREAT!  However, it has put me even farther behind in the card department!  Oh well :-)

I made this card for my parent's 37TH wedding anniversary!  

 

The colors went along with JUGS38 color challenge.  The sketch is MOJO144.  The card is pretty easy to figure out.  I'm keeping it short...I really need take a shower after landscaping today!  Have a wonderful night.  I'll be back soon with my dad's bday card!

Happy New Year's Eve!

I'm slipping in this card before the holiday season is officially over :-)

I added a lot of shine with Crystal Effects.  The bulb is embossed with Detail White EP, then coated with Crystal Effects.  The snowflake was made using Brushed Silver CS, coating it with Crystal Effects, and sprinkling Dazzling Diamonds on while wet.  After it dried, I punched it with my snowflake punch.  The center is a white Dew Drop.   For the background, I used my CB Victoria Embossing Folder.  Once embossed, I went over the raised areas with Crystal Effects.  As usual, I used Dimensionals under each main layer :-)

Fall Card Cricut Style

I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  I just finished this card, so I want to share it real quick.  My hubby and kids are waiting for some fresh baked cookies.  Maybe they won't mind just 10 more minutes ;-)

I used my Cricut for the main image.  Isn't the tree awesome?!  Every time I use the Cricut I love it more and more!  The Very Vanilla circles behind the leaves were made with my circle punch.  I used dimensionals behind the leaves and bottom of the trunk for some neat dimension.  The sentiment is from SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes set.  They fit perfect in the Word Window punch.  I hung the charm off the ribbon for a little extra somethin' :-)

Star Wars MOJOMARIA

Hi :-)

Are you gearing up for another school year?  We are trying to.  Part of me is excited...back to a routine (I think routine is my middle name, he-he!).  However, the bigger part of me is not ready.  My babies are growing up!  My oldest will be in first grade and my triplets in preschool (sniff, sniff)!  I know we'll all adjust.

In case you don't know, I LOVE crafty challenges.  The card I'm showing you today was definitely a great challenge :-)  A friend asked me to make her a Star Wars card for a 6 year old.  First of all, I must apologize to all you Star Wars fans.  I have NEVER watched a Star Wars movie, and don't plan to.  After searching it on the web, I discovered that all this time I was right...it's not for me.  I guess if my son grows to love Star Wars, his dad can be his fellow Jedi Knight!  Anyway, back to the card...after looking up multiple characters, I decided to feature R2-D2.  What a cute robot.

I don't have any Star Wars stamps, so I printed this image from the WEB onto some WW cardstock.  I also created and printed the sentiment with my computer.  The wavy border was made using an EK Success border punch.  If you look close, you can see the Night of Navy layer is dry embossed with a QuicKutz Lines and Dots embossing folder.  I added the wire as a fun embelishment representing the wiring on R2-D2.  Once again I showed this card to my hubby and he had no clue what the wire was doing there.  Hmmm.

Elegant Rose MOJO98

I hope you are having a GREAT weekend!  Today's card was made using a stamp from Janlynn called "How Do I Love Thee".  I changed it up a bit, so you should click on the stamp link to see it, then look at my card.  What do you think??

 

I colored the rose with Copics, cut it out and mounted it with dimensionals.  The large white layer is embossed with the CB Birds & Swirls folder.  Do you have trouble tying bows?  Check out the Bow Easy.  I tried it on this bow...works like a charm!

Good Friday Morning!!

I just bought this adorable stamp set from Papertrey Ink, Scattered Showers.  I couldn't wait to get it inky!  I have a couple friends who are facing difficult situations, so it was perfect!

 

I stamped the umbrella on Riding Hood Red DP and Riding Hood Red CS, cut out the sections and paper pieced them on my WW umbrella.  The sentiment is punched with my new SU! Modern Label Punch.  I used the CB Swiss Dots embossing folder on the Riding Hood Red CS for added dimension.  Of course, I have dimensionals under the panel with the sentiment, the umbrella layer, and under the flower :-)

It's finally Saturday!

I have been super busy making cards this week.  June is jam packed from bdays to anniversaries and Father's Day.  On top of my already busy June, I participated in Verve's June sketch marathon (as I call it).  New sets are released each month.  During the week preceding the release, there are sneak peaks as well as sketch challenges.  There were 5 sketches this week...and I managed to complete them all (on top of chasing my 4 year old triplets and 6 year old around)!!  Whew!  I am excited to show them all to you.  I'll be posting daily for awhile :-)

I made this first card for my dad's birthday.  He is a VERY busy farmer/center pivot dealer, who works ALL THE TIME.  I took the liberty of crossing off his schedule for his birthday...

 

This was a fun card.  I love the real fly and fishing line :-)  The sentiment was made/printed using Word on my computer.  The calendar is part of SU!'s Office Accoutrement set.  I used a SU! marder to highlight the date.  This DP is Adorn it by Carolees Creations. 

This sketch doubles as MOJO92 and VSJUN01, both by Julee.

Mojo87 Prehistoric

Happy Memorial Weekend! 

One of my nephews turned 2 last week so I made him an Eric & Chrissy Go Prehistoric card:

Isn't little Eric cute?  I had been wanting this set for awhile and finally broke down and bought it...I'm glad I did ;-)  I started by coloring Eric with Copics, cutting him out and placing him on dimensionals.  The layer behind Eric and my sentiment is cut with my Nestabilities then embossed with Quickutz Embossing Folder Retro Squares, and as usual, on dimensionals :-)  The black ric rack ribbon is made out of felt.  To finish this card I punched 1/4 inch squares, stuck a brad through the center and attached them around part of the circle.

I LOVE this stamp.  It is Because of You from Verve Stamps.  I stamped it with VersaMark then embossed it in detail white ep.  I stamped/embossed it again on Lovely Lilac cs and cut the flowers out and placed them on dimensionals.  The background is embossed using my CB Birds & Swirls folder.

Fabulous Butterfly and Party!

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you had a great weekend, we sure did.  Friday was our big party...diaper party!  My hubby and I have been telling our kids that we would have a huge party when we were completely done with diapers.  Our triplets are four and have been potty trained for quite some time, however an occasional night time accident was common.  The deal was they had to go at least two weeks straight without any accidents.  It happened...two weeks, three weeks, four weeks...PARTY TIME!  The party was a great incentive for the kiddos.  We had tons of helium balloons, cake, ice cream, party hats, and the surprise of the night...a pinata!  Their grandparents came to help us celebrate too.

The pinata was a chick in half an Easter egg.  We were entertained even after the pinata was broken:

This sketch was Mojo72:

Isn't this DP by The Paper Studio fun?  I think it's so springy and happy!  The butterfly (Papertrey Ink) is stamped in Regal Rose on Barely Banana.  I cut it out and layered it on a piece of Chocolate Chip that I cut a tiny but larger.  I put dimensionals under the wings and a glue dot under the body to keep it from being flat.  The butterfly's trail is part of SU!'s Flight of the Butterfly.  The "you're fabulous" sentiment on the bottom is from Verve Visual's Uplifting Phrases.
