Snowflake Wreath

Happy Wednesday!!

I hope you are having a great week so far!  Besides some technical issues with one of my crafting programs, this week is good :D 

Another amazing NEW template, just released October 1, is Wreath of Wishes.  I used it to make a wreath that I just love.  You can't go wrong with red, white, and snowflakes during the Holidays!

The snowflake digital cardstock I used is in our NEW Homemade Holiday Papers pack.

The sketch I used for this card is Mojo Monday 261.  You can find my snowflake in MTME's It's Snowing cut file.  The sentiment is part of our Dashing Through the Snow stamp set.

I cut out the "h2" with my Silhouette using a Curlz MT font.  A friend wears a necklace with an "h2" on it (symbolizing her initials), so I thought I'd make this for her. 

Isn't it amazing how great this ribbon matches?!  I found it at Costco!

MTMEPPC19 Welcome

Happy Sunday!

I hope you are having a fantastic weekend!  Yesterday was my hubby's birthday; we had a great {busy} day.  We spent our morning golfing, which was fun, as long as we stayed ahead of those grumpy old men who hate to see women and children on the golf course!  Afterwards, I made him an awesome Oreo cake I found HERE.  We had delish Chicken Caeser Salads for dinner, ate cake, then started a fire in our fire pit and roasted some MEGA marshmallows (say sugar OVERLOAD!) with my Inlaws.  Whew!  Guess what though...I did't get his birthday card made!  I know!  Shameful!  ;-)  I'm going with "better late than never"!

Are you ready for another great MTMEPPC?  Here it is!

Our friends just bought a new house, so I made a card for them.  Inside I typed "Congrats on  your new digs!". 

I have to admit, these colors were challenging for me!  It's good for me to go outside my comfort zone, but it's painful ;-)  This cute little house was fun to play with!  It's from My Time Made Easy's Sign It digi set.

Hello!  I hope your week is off to a great start!  I'm a little behind on posting...we have been camping on the mountain.  FUN!

This week's My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge is a good one!

Here's my card:

I love the flowers!  Actually, I don't think I've ever met a flower I didn't love ;-)  This one is MTME's Rambling Rose.  I cut them using my Cricut then sponged the edges in Night of Navy ink.  I didn't want a rose, so I layered them like this.  Fun, huh!

Good Morning!

Are you ready for another My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge??  Here it is:

I love this color combo, but have never thought to use it before!!  I used it to create a baby card.

Bringing Home Baby is such a cute set.  I just love the stork!  I colored her, and the frame, in Photoshop Elements.  The background is embossed using CB's Argyle folder.

MTMEPPC16 Red, White and Cute!

I hope you are having a great 4th of July weekend!!  We are looking forward to the fireworks show Monday.  The kids make holidays so fun.  Their excitement is contagious!!  In spirit of Independence Day, My Time Made Easy's Pretty Palette Challenge this week is, you guessed it, red, white and blue!

I wanted to make something fun and representative of Independence Day, so I made this...

This butterfly is from My Time Made Easy's All A Flutter digi stamp set.  I customized Stars for Students and Picket Fence digi papers by changing their colors in Photoshop Elements for the butterfly and background.  Once the papers were colored, I clipped them with the shapes of the butterfly wings.  I played with it for awhile before I got what I wanted, but persistence paid off!  I love it!  Once printed, I hand cut it and added rhinestones on the corners of the wings. Isn't it pretty and patriotic?!

I saw this sentiment on a little girl's shirt and thought it would work great here, so I typed it up and printed it out.

MTMEPPC13 Lady Bug

Hello :-)

I'm learning a new sport...golf!  I am having so much fun with my, oh so patient, hubby!  We have been golfing quite a bit, kids in tow.  They are loving it too.  It's awesome family time. :-)

I love ladybugs.  This one is so cute.  She is part of MTME's Sensational Digital Package.  Digital stamps are so versatile.  I colored and sized her to fit my card, printed and wa-la!  It's that easy!  If you look closely at the background, you can see it is embossed with dots, complementing the ladybug. :-)

My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge

Good Sunday morning!

I hope you are having a great weekend!  It's been rainy and foggy here, which translates into hubby watching golf and me crafting!  Our kids are loving this weather.  Soccer was canceled yesterday so they hung out in their jammies all day!  What a treat.

It's time for another My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge!!!

Color challenges are so much fun.  The sky is the limit!  If you haven't played along with us yet, now is the time!!!  Here's my creation:

Isn't that flower fun?!!  I {heart} flowers, all kinds of flowers!!!  I made this one using two flower punches.  I punched two large and one medium flowers, then used my bone folder to curl the leaves a little.  I stacked, attached brad, and added a glitter "French Tip" to the petals with my glitter pen.  I also sprayed it with Vanilla Smooch Spritz.  I added glitter to the sentiment too (Sunshine only).  I love the way it reflects the light.  This sentiment is one of many in MTME Sensational Sentiments stamp set.  I used the digital version, changed the colors to match my card, printed it on card stock and ta-da...there it was!!  Easy peasy!

EXCITING NEWS!!! MTME Pretty Palette

Happy Sunday :-)

I have some exciting news to share today, along with a super cute card!  I can't keep the secret any longer....I was chosen to be on the Pretty Palette Design Team for MTME!!!!  Wahoo!!!  Someone needs to pinch me!!  I absolutely love Lauren's and her DT's creativity!  They inspire me so much!  I feel so honored to be a part of their team!

Such a fun color combo!!  Here's my creation:


Closer look at the flower:

See the darling little bunny?  Isn't she sweet?!  She is Harriet Hop-Along.  The sentiment is part of the Harriet Hop-Along Birthday set, along with the image.  I had a lot of fun with this stamp.  I used the digital version, and colored it using Adobe Photoshop Elements.  This was my first time trying a digital stamp and I loved it!!    It was so easy.  Why did I wait so long to try it??

The flower is made from ribbon.  I hand stitched along one side, gathered the ribbon, wrapped it around itself and formed a flower.  I glued a pearl in the center to finish it.  Pretty.

To add something extra, I zig-zagged down each side of my stamped image.

JUGS72 Color Challenge

Hi :-)

Wahoo!  A three day weekend!  I'm hoping for some much needed R&R (along with some crafting, of course)!

This is my third week as Just Us Girls' guest designer.  I'm having a blast!  This week's challenge is a color challenge:  melon berry, kraft & light aqua.  This is a fun combo that I haven't used before, but guess what...I love it!  Check out the JUGS blog for more incredible inspiration!

I just love this little girl.  She's so precious.  I stamped her in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla cs.  The base layer is Blushing Bride, embossed with CB Birds & Swirls embossing folder.  I used Martha Stewart's butterfly punch to make the Baja Breeze/Crumb Cake butterflies.  I applied Liquid Pearls down the center of each butterfly.  For the flower, I used SU!'s incolor ribbon and a half pearl from the Pretties Kit.  I love how it turned out!
