JUGS72 Color Challenge

Hi :-)

Wahoo!  A three day weekend!  I'm hoping for some much needed R&R (along with some crafting, of course)!

This is my third week as Just Us Girls' guest designer.  I'm having a blast!  This week's challenge is a color challenge:  melon berry, kraft & light aqua.  This is a fun combo that I haven't used before, but guess what...I love it!  Check out the JUGS blog for more incredible inspiration!

I just love this little girl.  She's so precious.  I stamped her in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla cs.  The base layer is Blushing Bride, embossed with CB Birds & Swirls embossing folder.  I used Martha Stewart's butterfly punch to make the Baja Breeze/Crumb Cake butterflies.  I applied Liquid Pearls down the center of each butterfly.  For the flower, I used SU!'s incolor ribbon and a half pearl from the Pretties Kit.  I love how it turned out!

WSC64 & Kristina's Color Inspiration #29

Happy Thursday :-)

It's a good day to stay inside today.  The wind is blowing so hard!  Maybe I'll hang out in my stamping room (as if I needed an excuse!)  :-)

Today's card was made using two challenges.  The sketch is Beate's WSC64 and the color combo is from Kristina's Color Inspiration #29.  Check out the colors:

Here's my take on the colors and sketch:

All the colors are there.  The CS I used is Elegant Eggplant, Pacific Point and WW.  The flowers in the cake are Elegant Eggplant, Pacific Point and Taken with Teal.  The fire on the candles is Pumpkin Pie.

I embossed the first two layers on the card with my Stylized Flowers CB Embossing Folder.  The white scallops on the second layer were made using the SU! scallop punch.  I used Scalloped Oval Nestabilities for the main image layers.  Each main layer is on dimensionals, which you can't see.  To finish the card, I attached a white flower from the Pretties Kit (SU!) with an Eggplant circle and white brad in the center.

Two challenges in one

Good Morning :-)

I decided to participate in a couple of challenges today.  The first is a sketch challenge over at SC, SC200.  I combined this with Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #28 Challenge:

Kristina has a very clean and simple style.  I was inspired by her style when I made this card.  Being clean and simple is a challenge for me!  Here is my card:

I love making these flowers.  First I punch them out with a flower punch, then I color each petal tip with my Versamark marker then emboss it with white embossing powder.  Each flower is on a dimensional.  The Sage Shadow/WW layer is dry embossed with my Cuttlebug Leafy Branch folder.  The sentiment is a rub-on from SU! Love & Happiness.
