Happy Monday!

School started today...whew!  What a busy day!  We're ready for tomorrow already...lunches packed, backpacks ready to go and clothes picked out!  Hopefully it will help with the morning rush :-)

Teacher's Apple

Hi!

School hasn't even started yet and I'm already behind!  I guess it's because we are trying to squeeze every bit out of our last few days of summer vacation.  What a fun, fast summer!

I hope you have stopped by My Time Made Easy to peek at this week's color challenge:

I enjoy making shaped cards, so with this challenge I made a juicy red apple for the teacher...

Isn't it yummy?!  I started with MTME's Back to School digital stamp set.  I cropped the apple (in Photoshop Elements 9), sized it close to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, then printed it out.  Next, I cut out the apple and traced/cut it onto card stock.  Using my nesties, I cut out a bite mark.  To make the apple shine, I embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I cropped and printed this sentiment from this same digi set.  I love how it turned out!

For My Teacher

Happy Sunday!

It's almost time to start school again.  Can you believe it?  Summer has flown by!  I used this week's My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Color Challenge to make a teacher card.

I also played along with MTME Pretty Patterns Sketch Challenge this week.  The sketch:

I love this month's new release at MTME!  I used Academic Hodge Podge DSP and Back to School Digi Stamps for my card.  To set off the apple, I covered it with Crystal Effects to make it shiny.  I used ribbon to make the flowers and finished them with a button in the center.  I hope you {and the teachers} like it!

The Pretty Palette challenge is having a DT call! If you would like to participate in our color challenge and get free products from My Time Made Easy, please read the details below.

1). You must have a blog.
2). You must be familiar and comfortable working with digital images.
3). You will have access to all My Time Made Easy digital images and digital paper. However, the templates and cut files are not part of the perks!
4). You need to use MTME images on your creations, however the paper is not required to be used on all projects. It is there to use if you wish.
5). The challenges are on Sundays, so your projects will have to be in our Yahoo group folders by Friday.
6). You will not be responsible for hostessing any challenge and will not be responsible for coming up with color combinations (unless you have some great color combination suggestions!).
7). Commenting on our entrants' projects is required. We all love a comment!

Baby Card Cuteness! MTMEPPC21

Hi!

I am so excited about this month's new release at My Time Made Easy!!  I couldn't resist trying some of the new stuff out!  Here are this week's colors for our Pretty Palette Color Challenge:

Here's what I came up with:

Aren't they adorable?!!  They are so easy and fun!  The patterned paper is part of Academic Hodgepodge.  I printed it out on cardstock, then cut out Lil' One-sie with my Cricut.  I made the flowers using Petal Perfection and my Cricut.  Once cut, I spritzed, crumpled, peeled apart layers, stamped with a dotted background stamp (in Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler), stacked, attached a brad, crumpled more...DONE!  I did ink the edges of the red flower with white ink.  It's hard to see in the picture, but I ran each one-sie through my Big Shot and D'vine Swirl embossing folder.  It really adds a lot.  To finish them off, I added dots along the scallops with Liquid Pearls.  I will definitely be making a lot more one-sie's!!  I {heart} them!

MTMEPPC19 Welcome

Happy Sunday!

I hope you are having a fantastic weekend!  Yesterday was my hubby's birthday; we had a great {busy} day.  We spent our morning golfing, which was fun, as long as we stayed ahead of those grumpy old men who hate to see women and children on the golf course!  Afterwards, I made him an awesome Oreo cake I found HERE.  We had delish Chicken Caeser Salads for dinner, ate cake, then started a fire in our fire pit and roasted some MEGA marshmallows (say sugar OVERLOAD!) with my Inlaws.  Whew!  Guess what though...I did't get his birthday card made!  I know!  Shameful!  ;-)  I'm going with "better late than never"!

Are you ready for another great MTMEPPC?  Here it is!

Our friends just bought a new house, so I made a card for them.  Inside I typed "Congrats on  your new digs!". 

I have to admit, these colors were challenging for me!  It's good for me to go outside my comfort zone, but it's painful ;-)  This cute little house was fun to play with!  It's from My Time Made Easy's Sign It digi set.

Hello!  I hope your week is off to a great start!  I'm a little behind on posting...we have been camping on the mountain.  FUN!

This week's My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge is a good one!

Here's my card:

I love the flowers!  Actually, I don't think I've ever met a flower I didn't love ;-)  This one is MTME's Rambling Rose.  I cut them using my Cricut then sponged the edges in Night of Navy ink.  I didn't want a rose, so I layered them like this.  Fun, huh!

Good Morning!

Are you ready for another My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge??  Here it is:

I love this color combo, but have never thought to use it before!!  I used it to create a baby card.

Bringing Home Baby is such a cute set.  I just love the stork!  I colored her, and the frame, in Photoshop Elements.  The background is embossed using CB's Argyle folder.

MTMEPPC16 Red, White and Cute!

I hope you are having a great 4th of July weekend!!  We are looking forward to the fireworks show Monday.  The kids make holidays so fun.  Their excitement is contagious!!  In spirit of Independence Day, My Time Made Easy's Pretty Palette Challenge this week is, you guessed it, red, white and blue!

I wanted to make something fun and representative of Independence Day, so I made this...

This butterfly is from My Time Made Easy's All A Flutter digi stamp set.  I customized Stars for Students and Picket Fence digi papers by changing their colors in Photoshop Elements for the butterfly and background.  Once the papers were colored, I clipped them with the shapes of the butterfly wings.  I played with it for awhile before I got what I wanted, but persistence paid off!  I love it!  Once printed, I hand cut it and added rhinestones on the corners of the wings. Isn't it pretty and patriotic?!

I saw this sentiment on a little girl's shirt and thought it would work great here, so I typed it up and printed it out.
